Braided By Wire (BBW) aims to be the primary natural hair care provider in Central Florida. They intend on giving everyone “an experience that sets you apart, turning your hair into art!”
Created by Eboni “Mz.Wire” Carty in 2013, Braided By Wire started creating a buzz in the US Virgin Islands with natural hair braiding and protective styling as the primary specialty. We later expanded our services to dreadlock maintenance and loc start-up and expanded to be based in Orlando. With dreadlocks becoming a growing natural hair trend, BBW has become an important staple in the community.
Clients range from everyday consumers to doctors, nurses, lawyers, pharmacists, international DJs, and Caribbean celebrities. DJ Kareem of Faisty Squad helped with marketing tremendously as he was always booked and performed with fresh, shiny locs to complete his look.
Soca artists like Pumpa, Ricardo Drue, Kerwyn Dubois, Lyrikal, and the great Machel Montano also call on Mz.Wire for her loc services. This level of exposure has certified her title as an International Celebrity Loctician and Natural Hair Stylist.
Braided By Wire has shared work via social media outlets for years and intends on sharing more via personal classes and online courses as well. The first class series, entitled Lessons in Loc Art, has already had two offerings - September 23, 2018 and March 24, 2019, both in Orlando with flawless success. Students who participated gained a wealth of knowledge and inspired Mz.Wire to continue teaching. As a result of her inspiration as well as demand for more classes, natural hair enthusiasts can look forward to more classes in the future.
